Tooele Weather pleasant after the storm of last night. I worked on my report, issued bills to persons owing &c. Attended Fast meeting & blessed the oil. Retired early in the evening.

Tooele Weather pleasant
I finished my Ranch report and mailed it with water transfer & check of $242.25 to Abram. Filed for record the Deed for the Parker land 62.35 acres. &c. Procured deed record Made a deed of the $62.35 acres & 40 acres farms to Alice & had it acknowledged by J. W. Tate Notary Public. The other property having been previously deeded her. These deeds to go on record not until my death. I cut off the tops of the poplar trees on my lots Main St. &c.

Tooele Weather pleasant.
I shaved, repaired fence, went to Stake Priesthood meeting at Tooele. Went up to farm on hill worked with water pipes near Saw mill &c. [p. 132]

Tooele Weather pleasant.
I attended School and meeting at Tooele this being the sunday for the Stake presidency’s visit to Tooele Bro Anderson not being here Prest. Gowans & I occupied all the time. Attended meeting in the evening, last of the season.
5 June 1893 • Monday
Tooele. Weather pleasant.
I took team & went to Garfield Beech and from there took train for Salt Lake Alice & Nerva accompanying me on train & Geo. & John Lyman remained at Beech while we were gone to Salt Lake. Returned home at 9 P.M. and went down to J.W.T. and attended a School Trustees meeting.
Estell went up to Isgren’s to a surprise party.

Tooele Weather pleasant.
I took the folks all up the Canyon with the ward excursion took Picnic & had a good time. In the evening attended a meeting of the Tooele City Water Co Board & the City Council meeting.
7 June 1893 • Wednesday
Tooele Weather pleasant.
I met a committee from City Council at my lots on Main st. to show them how the ditch needs changing. Had the Boys water horses [p. 133] at Basin pasture. Attended to some business in collecting, went up to Parkers mill & worked a little while on water pipe leading to my 62 acre farm. Retired early. Used City water

Tooele Weather pleasant I made collections, repaired gates to Barn yard, had F. Barber mow lucern in Small pasture. I went up to my farm & finished cleaning mud out of pipe & getting water in. Received an offer from Abel Parker of his dry farm North of mine 40 acres or less for 850 acres including improvements. Folks all well.

Tooele Weather pleasant but warm. I baled hay in forenoon and in the afternoon attended Stake Primary Conference after which I took the folks for a ride & went out to Colemans to meet the horses, Geo & John Lyman having gone out to bring them up to water.

Tooele Weather pleasant. I went up on the farm and with J C DeLaMare, E Lougy & Mat. McKendrick, measured the plowed land I have just had 45¾ acres plowed.
Did some figuring & writing in the afternoon. [p. 134]

Tooele Weather pleasant. I attended School and meeting at home (Tooele). Spoke freely for about 30 minutes in the afternoon meeting to fill up the time, Jas Dunn & Ephriaim Gowans being the former speakers.

Tooele Weather windy. I attended a meeting of the School Trustees at 9 A.M. until 3 P.M. Attended to some business with Prest. H. S. Gowans. Did some writing &c.
13 June 1893 • Tuesday
Tooele Weather pleasant cool. I baled hay, Raked & hauled hay in from small pasture. Took Estella to the depot on the way to Farmington.
Took Alice for a ride over to My 40 acre farm while I stapled up the wire in several places also went up to the 62 acr[e] ranch to see about the water, how the pipes work. Brought Alice home & got the boys & went up and measured with tape the land Abel Parker proposed to sell me for $850.00 & found there to be 32½ acres near as I could come at it.

Tooele Weather pleasant [p. 135] I worked all day repairing the hay racks to commence haying. Apostle Lyman called on me a few minutes in the afternoon to learn something in relation to our school Building. In the evening I bathed, read the news and retired late. All are usually well.

I looked the field over and concluded to commence cutting the lucern the following day. Went & saw F. J. Barber about commencing the mowing for me, looked at his mares and colts & made him an offer for them. Borrowed his wagon to go after a load of salt next day.

Tooele Weather warm some wind.
I started F. J. Barber to mowing lucern in South field and I took Georgie with me & went to Salt Air & got a load of salt. We went over on to the New Pavillion while our team was mowing, Arrived home about 8 P.M. all usually well. [p. 136]

Tooele Weather warm.
I attended school and meeting here at Tooele.
Had D. D. Houtz here from Provo to both school and meeting also Home missionary C. J. Stromberg from Grantsville. I offered the opening prayr in school & closing prayr in meeting. By invitation of Bp. Atkin & wife Alice & I went down to their home to supper Bro. Craner & Bro. Beesley & family were there. Attended a lecture on Civil Government by D. D. Houtz in the evening.

Tooele Weather warm and suited to hay making. I had the mower running all day and I raked & put up hay and hauled one load in with the help of the boys. Received $78.75 from Alvin Walters payment of his note & interest given in payment for sheep. Paid Dr Davis for plowing, $57.70. Received Fred W. Richards’ note from him of $303.97½. I indorsed the amount of interest for one year $30.40 & send him a receipt for same as a gift. Had a letter from Mother.

Tooele Weather pleasant. warm.
I raked hay & put it up. sold and loaded a load of hay to W. R Gillespie and hauled a load of hay in to the stack. Talked with Estella at [p. 137] Farmington through the telephone.
Did some trading at the Store.

Tooele Weather favorable for haying. I had the mower going and I raked hay &c.
22 June 1893 • Thursday
Tooele Weather pleasant in the morning but high wind after about 8 A.M. I commenced hauling hay with one team & three men but was obliged to discontinue before noon on account of wind. Continued the mowing & raking.
23 June 1893 • Friday
Tooele Weather favorable for haying. I had one team going on mower and one team 3 men hauling hay. I raked & put up hay, met Nerva at Depot she having come out to visit us in Estella’s absense. I wrote Estella a letter of advice.
24 June 1893 • Saturday
Tooele Weather pleasant I had one team hauling hay and C. Pocock helping me splice poles & lengthen cable. I raked hay in the evening until 10 o’clock.
25 June 1893 • Sunday
Tooele Weather warm [p. 138] I accompanied Prest. H. S. Gowans to Grantsvil Batesville where we attended school & meeting & spoke to the people. Took dinner with James Woods.
Nerva is still visiting with us.

Tooele. Weather pleasant. I had a full force with three wagons hauling hay.

Tooele Weather pleasant. I continued the hay hauling with three wagons. In the evening took Alice & Nerva for a ride with Jumbo, and attended a Mass meeting of the citizens of Tooele City called for the purpose of instructing the City Council what to do in relation to the payment of the water tax or assessment of $300.00 per year on Fire Hydrants. No action taken.

Tooele Weather warm.
We continued the haying I directing the work and curing the hay ready for hauling. Our Amy got the end of her finger pinched nearly off in the cupboard. I took her to the Doctor who did it up and gave me carbolic salve to put on it. Stopped the hauling in afternoon for want of hay. [p. 139]

Tooele Weather warm. This evening being the time as per adv. to open bids on school building construction and Architect H H Anderson not being able to come out he sent his draftsman Olsen and I hitched up team & buggy and took him & Trustee J. W. Tate around town trying to find sand suitable for brick laying. We decided that I [it?] would have to be hauled from the Stockton pass. Our folks made ice cream in afternoon and I brought Mr Olsen home with me. We ate heartily with no bad results. Attended the meeting of Trustees in the evening but after opening bids took them under advisement until Monday evening July 3d. Haying.
