Snow was here for the purpose of organising the yo[u]ng Ladies after a few brief remarks by Miss E R Snow [. . .] Miss E R Snow then said she wished to explain the word retrenchment it was not to retrench in dress alone but to retrench in our ignorance she Then called for the names of the yong Ladies that wished to Become members of this Asociation. [. . .] Miss E R Snow said she wanted A name for the Asociation. she Liked the word retrenchment it was Motioned secon[d]ed and carried it be called the yong Ladies Retrenchment Asociation of the 1st Ward.
