Sister [Bathsheba B.] Smith [. . .] We want [p. 33] to hear from sister snow and others so I will not take up any more of the time.

Sister Snow— I am selfish enough to want to hear as well as to be heard. It have is our privilege to use the jewels of the Lord. We find that the more we appreciate the blessing of the Holy Spirit He has blessed us with the more we gorw [grow] in knowledge and the fear of God. If we could realise <the> position we are holding to day and the contrast we should rejoice. It makes my heart acke [ache] when I read of the suffering the Lord permits to come upon the Earth. It is only a beginning and while this goes on we are in Zion in saf[e]ty. We want to do all the good we can and we can do good if we are united. I realize that the sisters can do good in various ways. We must be careful our words or actions do not have an evil effect. We should set a an example that is worthy of imitation. Our religion is to raise us up. Do not let anything discourage you; for our hopes and aims should ever be higher than earth. We should cultivate that spirit which enables us to endure all things.
