President E. R. Snow, Smith, said she had been reflecting on the condition of the sisters, and what it may be if we chose, through the revelations of God, we learn that we may become elect ladies, that we are helpers in the Kingdom of God. that the Relief Society had commenced with few rags and already thousands of Dollars had passed through our hands. that the Lord had blessed our labours, the most important work we had to do is to save ourselves and our children, felt that she would like to go from House to House but had no time, their is nothing so important as our little ones, was sorry so many were marrying out of the Church, some seem to think we are urging our children too much, but they are mistaken as children are always learning something either for good or bad. Urged the Sisters not to forget the Election and not let outsiders get rule over us by our neglect if we do it will be worse than the Egiptian [Egyptian] bondage it is necessary for us to be up and doing, live nearer to God, and the faith once delivered to the Saints, it is a disgrace for Saints to feer [fear] contagion from descease [disease], but is necessary to get Faith enough to rebuke it, to hold on to our little ones, unless they are appointed unto death. Joseph Smith said they lose nothing by going, we have the jerm [germ] of every faculty in us if we will make good use of it. It would be but few that would obtain Celestial lives, she wanted to be among that few, And go to her Husband. if we desired that blessing we must wake up and be more one than we are now.
