Prayer by Sister Eliza R Snow [. . .]

Sister Snow said she was happy in meeting with the Primary Asstn. [Association] and enjoyed herself with the Children, who where [were] all striving to learn the Gospel of Christ invited all those who wished to join to come forward all between the ages of four and sixteen were eligible for membership. she taught them many good things exhorted them to love one another to pray regularly to be punctual in attending meeting never to give way to lying or stealing but to be obedient to their Parents and those placed to lead and direct them, and to cultivate the spirit of God that they might have his spirit always with them.

[. . .] Miss Snow nominated Mary E Morgan to act as Treasurer to this Asstn. which was seconded and carried unanimously stated the Organization was not complete without <a> Treasurer told the C [children] not to spend all their money in Candy and <such> things but to reserve some and hand it in for Temple donations she showed the Watch which the Prophet [Joseph Smith] used to wear narrated some of the persecutions which the Prophet was <subjected> to, she then appointed Sisters [Mary F.] Dodds, [Ellison J.] Gourley and Miss Emma Morgan to act as a Comtte. [committee] to help the Children sing, exhorted the C not to speak lightly of celestial marriage for it was a law of heaven advised them to reverence old age, told them several pleasing anecdotes and prayed Gods blessing to rest upon <them> [. . .] [p. 40]
