Pres [Mary Isabella Hales] Horne did not propose ocuppying much of the time for there were a number of sisters from the country settlements present, as well as Sister E. R. Snow, and we all wish to hear from her.
Sister Snow said, I am always happy to meet with the saints of God. The gosple contains all that is worth seeking for, and it should contain all our thoughts, actions and words. At the present time I am more interested in the associations of our young sisters.
I was one of the sisters who was called upon to organize these associations, and I have watched with intrest their progress. we want our young to be thouroughly educated in the principles of God, and in every thing that is enobling, so that they may be able to preform their duties. The future depends very much upon the daughters of Zion, and we [p. 6] want to prepare them to stand fourth as shining lights of Zion.
