Croydon Relief Society; Croydon, Utah Territory
Special Meeting at 2 p.m. on the Stand Miss E. R Snow, Mrs [Mary Isabella] Horne & [Elizabeth A.] Davis [. . .] Miss E. R Snow, Unless the Spirit of God is with us it is in vain that we should come together. He has spoken in his own voice and now by his Priesthood, if we are really what we should we are in the Light. Described the first organization of Relief Society after the pattern of the Church, hope the Sisters are all live members. all are supposed to be workers, look after the wants of the sick poor & needy. God accepts nothing but Faithfulness & obedience. the Lord called on myself & Sister Horne & others to organize the young girls and teach them the gospel. We were Laughed at and ridiculed, but we met success & the young Sisters arose and bore faithful testimony to the truth of the Latter day work almost throughout Utah. We are not able to see eye to eye on account of our Education. these little ones if trained according to the laws of the gospel will see eye to eye. We shall reap a reward according to our works.
