Sister E. R. Snow, said if she were enabled to say any thing to edify it must be by the Spirit of God. We as saints want strength from the fountainhead, to encourage us in our labor of love, yet there was every thing to encourage us, for angels and holy beings were on our side.—
According to the signs of the times, a day is very near approaching, when nothing but faith in the Gospel will enable us to stand. Spoke of the judgements about to be poured out upon the wicked, and that it would be as much as the Saints could do to stand the testing day.—
Those who were using their energies in helping on the cause in assisting the brethren, they would enjoy the Spirit of the Lord, and not fear the scoffs of the world, but will enjoy that peace and confidence that the world no [know] nothing of. Felt to Bless all the Sisters who had met here to day for she realised their hearts were in the work.—
Counlr. B [Bathsheba] W Smith referred to the presence of Sisters [Elizabeth Ann] Whitney, & Snow, and that their remarks always did her good and encouraged her in the faith of the Gospel.— [. . .] [p. 272]
