Memoranda

Met my husband the first time since the 6th of December 1884 on the 31st of July when he sent June to fetch me to see him. Again the second interview on Thursday the 18th of August by special arrangement and the third time by a special engagement also on Wednesday August 24th. These were all pleasant visits as far as anything can ever be pleasant or interesting to me now that I have passed through such ordeals of sorrow. [p. 394] {p. 392}
