Conference in the L.D.S. College hall very crowded Prest. B. W. Smith presided for her first time since the appointment of the new officers‒ she looked very queenly‒ dressed elegantly. In the afternoon at the Assembly Hall we had as the principal speaker Apostle Reed Smoot. Also First Counselor Annie T. Hyde & [Counselor]1 Ida Smoot Dusenberry Dr. Margaret C. Roberts, E. B. Wells read Report & made remarks about New Zealand & Sandwich Islands‒ Sister Jane S. Richards spoke a short time. Reed Smoot gave a banquet at Chloe [Redfield] Eldredge’s Sister Smith invited The evening session we had Prof. J. [Joseph] M. Tanner on liberality I dismissed the Conference [p. 129] {p. 107}
